grad school

OK so that's it, I am going back to finish my doctorate. I'll apply first at the closest schools (madison, chicago) and work my way out.

Unless anybody has any advice and good departments these days?

yeah i think i'll put it on my list. they're decent. when i first applied to grad school in 2002, i remember they accepted me, so perhaps it would be easy to get re-accepted...

you're only going to apply to madison and chicago? those are like the #1 and #3 sociology schools...

what do you want to study in grad school? Quantitative or qualitative methods? subfield? theory vs. practice?

no, those are just first on my list because they are close AND good. i want to expand my list, that's why i'm soliciting advice. i want to study quantitative methods, and religion, gender, and orgs. any place come to mind?
